how we choose.
01//WHAT THIS IS
an index, not an aggregator. dexscreener tells you what's trading. coingecko tells you what exists. /projects tells you what matters for robotics on crypto, in our reading.
that means opinion. a take per project. a category we picked. no algorithm, no ranking by market cap, no popularity vote.
02//INCLUSION CRITERIA
a project qualifies if all three hold:
- it ships software, hardware, or capital for robotics or physical agents
- it uses crypto rails — base, ethereum, solana, or similar — as a load-bearing part of the product, not just a token wrapper
- it has a public surface we can verify (github, deployed product, live agent, audited contracts)
a token is not required. pre-token teams qualify if the product is real.
03//CATEGORIES
six, defined narrowly:
- sim: simulation, training pipelines, sim-to-real loops
- data: teleoperation, datasets, post-training feedback
- capital: capital markets, tokenization, vaults for robotics
- infra: execution rails, signing, on-chain proofs
- proofs: verifiable ai, attestation, lineage
- accelerator: incubators, fleets, residencies
a project lands in one category. if it spans two, we pick the one its current shipping product addresses, not the one its roadmap promises.
04//STATUS
three states:
- live: token is trading, contract is verifiable on the chain we listed
- tge-soon: token generation event is announced with a date
- pre-token: real product, no token yet, or no token planned
"pre-token" is not a downgrade. it's a signal of where the project is in its public arc.
05//RSYNTH TAKE
one sentence per project. our reading of what it does, in plain language. it is not a review. it is not investment advice. it is the angle we would describe it at to another builder.
if our take is wrong, tell us.
06//RANKING
none. projects are grouped by category, ordered alphabetically within. we do not rank by market cap — that would reinforce a metric the index is explicitly not built on.
filter pills above the list are the only sort interaction.
07//WHAT'S NOT HERE
- $r itself. this is our index, not our showcase.
- generic crypto-ai projects without a robotics or physical-agent angle.
- projects we can't verify (no public github, no deployed product, anonymous team with no track record).
- projects we missed. tell us.
@researchsynth on x, or open a github issue at github.com/rsynthlabs/sdk.
one paragraph, max. tell us what it does and which category it fits. we add new entries on a rolling basis.
